Abstract

There is a growing interest in creating simulation models for various biochemical processes. However, biological systems are influenced by many factors and generating models that can adequately capture the system behaviour is no easy task.
Furthermore, biological data is often noisy and only available in limited amounts and the models themselves often have non-unique parameter values. MathModelica, based on the Modelica language and developed by MathCore in Linköping, Sweden, is a modelling software that can be used for simulating such life science systems.
